Chrysler Recalls Dodge And Jeep SUVs

Another batch of Chrysler recalls will have certain Dodge, and Jeep SUVs returned to the dealership to repair engine cooling, airbags, and possible vehicle roll away problems. GM Sedans Equipped with eAssist Could Experience Trunk Fires

General Motors have announced a recall for over 38,000 Chevrolet and Buick sedans equipped with its “eAssist” mild hybrid system. According to GM overheating of the circuit boards in the Generator Control Module (GCM) could result in loss of battery charge, the illumination of the engine malfunction indicator light, and in extreme cases, a fire in the trunk. Two trunk fires have already been reported as a result of the issue. (more…)

Hyundai Kia Stop Lamp Switch Problem

Hyundai is recalling over one million vehicles for a defective stop lamp switch that could experience an intermittent switch point contact. This condition could result in intermittent operation of the push button start feature, the inability to remove the transmission from the “park” position, illumination of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) warning lamp, intermittent interference with operation of the cruise control, and intermittent operation of the stop lamps. Dodge Challenger Dangerous Electrical Problem

Chrysler is recalling certain 2013 Dodge Challenger vehicles manufactured in December 2012 and January 2013 and equipped with a V6 engine. Acura TSX ECU Corrosion Problem

Honda is recalling certain model year 2004-2008 Acura TSX vehicles originally sold in or currently registered in states that use corrosive materials for deicing. According to Honda, moisture and chemicals used to melt snow and ice can be brought into the vehicle by the driver’s footwear, saturating the floor carpet. (more…)

BMW Recalls Vehicles For Electrical System Problem

BMW has announced a recall for certain 2008-2012 coupes, convertibles, sedans, and sports wagons for a problem with the electrical system. The positive battery cable connector and the corresponding terminal on the fuse box could degrade over time increasing the electrical resistance. The high current flow and heat from electrical resistance could lead to a breakage of the connection, and a loss of electrical power to the vehicle. (more…)
