General Motors has decided that a manufacturing defect which relates to vehicle safety exists in certain 2016 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles and they will be asking approximately 30,000 owners to return to their dealerships for repairs. In some cases, the windshield wiper motor cover may melt, smoke, or catch fire.

Dealers will replace the windshield wiper motor cover assembly, free of charge. Owners wanting more information about the problem are asked to contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300, and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM’s number for this recall is 15780 and the NHTSA campaign number is 15V-609.
