Mitsubishi Motors will be recalling a small number of 2013 Outlander Sport vehicles for an improper weld on the front left strut. The vehicles affected were manufactured between January 17, 2013, through January 25, 2013.

The stabilizer link bracket on the front left strut tube may have been improperly welded during the manufacturing process. The front stabilizer link bracket could become disconnected from the front left strut assembly tube and could cause damage to the tire and/or brake hose over time.

Owner of affected vehicles will be notified to bring their vehicles to have the front left strut assembly inspection and repaired as necessary. Anyone wanting more information about the problem are asked to contact Mitsubishi at 1-800-222-0037. The recall number is SR-13-008.
