Ford will be recalling certain 2013 model year vehicles because the left rear door child safety lock may have been manufactured incorrectly. The lock may not engage correctly when normal force is used to activate the system. The operator may think the lock is engaged when it can still be opened from the inside, increasing the risk of injury to an unrestrained occupant. Ford will begin notifying owners beginning March 25, and will have a Ford or Lincoln dealers inspect and replace the affected rear door latches as necessary.
