Automakers and Dealers Oppose Rental Recall Bill

NTSB Recommends Lower Blood Alcohol Levels

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), approximately 10,000 people die in drinking and driving related crashes every year. In an attempt to reach a goal of zero alcohol and impaired related deaths, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are recommending that states implement laws that will work toward that goal. Toyota FJ Cruiser Lighting Problem

Toyota will be recalling approximately fifteen hundred 2007-2013 FJ Cruiser vehicles sold with Toyota’s auxiliary driving lamp kits mounted to the front bumper. These lights include two 55 watt bulbs which can be illuminated only with the vehicle’s upper headlamp beams, at the option of the driver. (more…)

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are proposing new rules that will let new users use frequencies allocated to developing car to car communications. Automakers and suppliers are saying that the broadened Wi-Fi use could potentially cause problems with accident prevention technology in vehicles, and they have sent a letter to the FCC protesting the plan.
