Another batch of Chrysler recalls will have certain Dodge, and Jeep SUVs returned to the dealership to repair engine cooling, airbags, and possible vehicle roll away problems. Hyundai is recalling over one million vehicles for a defective stop lamp switch that could experience an intermittent switch point contact. This condition could result in intermittent operation of the push button start feature, the inability to remove the transmission from the “park” position, illumination of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) warning lamp, intermittent interference with operation of the cruise control, and intermittent operation of the stop lamps. General Motors (GM) will be recalling certain 2013 Buick Lacrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX vehicles equipped with Driver Shift Control (DSC), also known as manual mode. The transmission software in these vehicles may cause the transmission to shift from manual mode to automatic mode unexpectedly, eliminating any transmission engine braking effect. (more…)
